Win-I2CNTDLL is a complete
32-bit PC-based software/adapter bundle for 100kb/s I²C and includes
the full version of Win-I2CNT for
verification of I²C/SMBus hardware.
This kit also includes a DLL
for use with other development environments such as Delphi, Visual Basic,
Visual C++, and C++ Builder to
create custom I²C applications using CDECL or STDCALL
calling conventions (refer to
the User’s Manual for
details). Included DLL examples can be downloaded
from our
FAQ page . A 3rd party
LabView example is available upon request (no support).
The following lists the basic
functionality of the driver:
I2C_Start
- generates an Start Condition
I2C_Stop
- generates a Stop Condition
I2C_Write
- writes a byte to the I²C bus
I2C_Read
- reads a byte from the I²C bus.
I2C_WriteArray-
writes a specified number of data bytes from an I²C device
I2C_ReadArray
- reads a specified number of data bytes from an I²C device
SetI2CFrequency
- sets the I²C frequency
GetI2CFrequency
- returns the current clock frequency
GetMaxI2CFrequency
- returns the maximum possible frequency (user hardware dependent)
SetLPTNumber
- allows the user to choose which parallel port to use for I²C bus
transmissions
milliseconds
- inserts a delay into the I²C message.
A User’s Manual and sample
applications are included to aid the user to quickly generate their own I²C
applications.
The Win-I2CNT hardware
documentation is also included (see
FAQ page).
The Win-I2CNTDLL kit includes a single user license for Win-I2CNT and
Win-I2CNTDLL. Volume pricing is available upon request.
The LPT port adapter (I2CPORTv2.0)
was designed specifically for the software; includes 3 different I²C header
configurations,
on-board socketed 256byte I²C
EEprom for easy EE programming; and includes jumper selectable 5 or 3.3
volt capabilities to
accommodate I²C buses of either
supply voltage. The adapter can be self powered from the PC parallel port or
from the connected
I²C target system. The I²C
connections are standard 4-pin 0.1〞stake headers. An LED indicates power
and communication activity.

Note: I2C cable is not included
Please note that Win-I2CNTDLL software /
driver is not designed for use with other generic I²C printer port adapters
(such as the generic "I2CPort"
adapter).
Only the I2CPortv2.0 series adapter that is
bundled with the software will work properly with Win-I2CNT and Win-I2CNTDLL
software kits. (However, our I2CPort2.0 will
work with other generic I²C parallel port software programs).
